I was stuck.
Life had become routine and predictable. I needed to do something to change the trajectory of my life. I didn't realize, however, that the answer was closer than I thought. So even when people would say things like, "you should write about that" or "that sounds like a book", I didn't take the hint. I decided I was ONLY an engineer, not a writer. And everyone knows engineers don't write! One day I finally decided to go for it. I began to write ... for a change. I had avoided using the very tool that would lead me to significant change... writing. Writing would compel me to interact with the world differently. It would cause me to explore pathways yet to be traveled. Publishing my first book "Hold On To Your RAFT" (www.raft-life.com) in 2018 was just the beginning of a new journey for me. Trust me, there is more to come on things like purpose, vision, relationships, men, values, marriage, faith and more. Things I believe make life the experience it's supposed to be. For me it comes down to this: I want to change 2 things before my time on earth is up: Myself, and those in the world around me. I invite you to join me on this journey where I am finally writing...for a change!

Like many of you, I am at an intersection. My particular intersection includes faith, family, business, environment, technology, ministry, homelessness, the right, the left, justice, marriage, teenagers, aging parents and more. These all find their way into my daily consciousness. It would be nice to write about convenient “cut and paste“ solutions to any or all these issues. But I think its more helpful to write about how we navigate these issues. There is no "one size fits all" approach, but I believe there is a "God-sized" approach. The God who created you, me, our world and the universe is infinite in his diversity, complexity and expression. At the same time His expressions of love, grace, and mercy are simple, and simply accessed...if we simply believe! Lets navigate these intersections and share our discoveries!
